Putting Kids First, Inc. currently has a 501c3 tax exempt status.
The organization is the brainchild of "Kent Malveaux" and other local citizens.
The Mission of the organization is:
To encourage young people to dream dreams and achieve them. To date more than 150 young people and their famlies have participated in the programs and activities of PKF.
This will be accomplished through:
· Assisting young people to identify dreams and then creating a plan to achieve them.
· Providing or enabling access to camps: such as athletic, leadership, musical, computer, art, educational, and academic tutoring.
· Assisting through scholarships and other avenues, young people to attend college and to be prepared for college.
· Providing the tools and support to make the transition to college and to achieve successfully in college.
· Creating a support network and extra-curricular activities for young people as they transition into college life and adulthood.
Weekly programs and activities are hosted by volunteers for local youth and their families, with the express purpose of providing a dream for their lives, which hopefully will keep them from gang membership, falling prey to addictions, incarcertation, dropping out of school, and death at a young age due to violence.
The organization is convinced that investing in the present-day youth will reap great rewards for the future of our communities, our young people and their families.
Monthly support is available as well as one-time contributions. All donations and contributions will be tax deductable to the full-extent of the law. Thank you in advance for your support.
